There is nothing like a dated blog to make you feel slack! December is my month for me after doing show after show. And January...well, no excuses!

Here is a great video to remind you why handmade is best. This product is made by hand by a human! Crazy!! And it will outlast any piece of junk that you buy cheap made in a big ol' factory. So buy handmade when you can. It's always worth it!!

Although I'm not a huge consumer of Valentine's Day, I do love all of the hearts, decorations, and general idea of speaking your feelings. I try to do this every day with my loves in my life, but a little nudge by society is good for others too. And I am a huge fan of candy, so this is just another reason for me to eat an entire bag of heart candies....

It's that time of year...show time! There are just too many good shows to choose from. I have lots of work to do, but I'm very excited to test drive some new shows this Fall. I will be at Piedmont Craftsmen in Winston, as usual. Then I'm off to Raleigh to do the Carolina Designer Craftsmen on Thanksgiving weekend. Then straight to Chicago for the One of a Kind show. Then...I hope to sleep for awhile.

I also have a few workshops available after many requests from felt fans. So check it out on my website if you want to join in the fun.

crazy busy

I've been working working working...and I have to say, it is good to be busy again. I think we've all been holding our breath this year. I've had my fingers crossed for all of the galleries and shops out there hoping they can survive this economy and still be the great brick and mortars they are. It's starting to feel a little better out there, at least in my little world. And that makes me happy for all of us.

Lots of shows this Fall coming up. I'm also adding 2 workshop dates for all of those potential fiber geeks. Come, join me on the fiber side. I give out all of my secrets and wool knowledge in my workshops. Most people leave loving felting as much as me. So check out the schedule on my site and drop me an e-mail if you want to join in.

OK. I started this blog forever ago, and haven't touched it since. I come across some great stuff in my searches of new artists and music. So I'm going to try to keep up with this blog so I can spread my news.

well, I've made it through one kid birthday last week with one more to go this Friday. I never considered that having my kids 3 years and 1 week apart would be a problem. (the 1 week...not the 3 years) But it is so fun wrapping presents and making elaborate cakes.

In other non-kid news, I recently got accepted to the Philadelphia Buyers Market for August. I am as excited as I am stressed. Suddenly things are starting to come together. I attended the market with my friend Christina in February to check it out and was amazed at the talent and creativity. And now I get to be a part of it. So now I need to get to work.

So creating my blog is on my "to do" list for this summer. This weekend is Memorial Day which always feels like summer, so here I am. I may possibly be the most boring person and not a writer at all, so be prepared. But I can tell you what is inspiring me and what I am listening to. Other than that, I haven't completed many sentences in the last 8 years of being with my kids every day. (wouldn't trade it for the world, but I can't wait to talk to adults in Philly)

Happy Memorial Day...
